Sounds good!

Got your PM, lots of good stuff. Been very, very flat out, hence my lack of reply up to now, but would be keen to help over summer. I have a nice layout in my bank of web stuff that I think would work well, so would be happy to contribute that for consideration. Plus a few other ideas that I'd like to share.

Unfortunatley for about the next four weeks I have a shitload of real work, too much real life stuff going on, web work (got to bill some clients that I forgot to due to other pressing issues) and, hopefully, a fun little thing to finish for the ROOT! site. Then, over summer, I have a lot drinking and partying to catch up on (a prerequisite), maybe an overseas holiday, possibly even a change of locale and work situation(s) to consider. Then there's this little iPhone programming lark which I must get on top of...a decent little money spinner perhaps...

Oh crap, I got off track again...yeah, give it about a month and I'll have a chunk of holidays which, although I don't want to spend all of it in front of a computer like I've done for the last six months, I'd be more than willing to devote some time helping out on the technical & creative side.

The stuff has been posted on the craplist and Facebook groups recently...I'm assuming someone from here did. If you're on those things, you should be able to do it, can't hurt. TISM fans shouldn't take offence, we're all offensive ourselves in our own unique way ;)

I hate to harp on about this, fellas, but it anyone posting this around anywhere? I'd like to make the offer some time soon, but without any actual support, nothing is going to come of this.

I wanted to post to the tism yahoo mailinglist, but my application for membership has still not been approved yet. I hear a lot of positivity around this idea, but I'm not actually seeing anything in terms of stocking the paypal pool in order to make this final offer.

Please. Come on. Let's make this happen.

Since no fish appear to be biting I think I'm going to play the high roller card. I want this to happen.

I raise my pledge from $30 to $100. I'll transfer it tomorrow.
I was hoping there would be a few more to chip in, but maybe this will stimulate the masses...

I don't ask for anything in exchange really. But if it's hosting downloadable content it'd only make sense to host torrents so the content of the site isn't hit and run... (Obviously you'll be taking some suggestions for guidelines in an open space etc?)

I admire your ideas MrJenkins, to be honest I had similar visions. Also Skip as a side note I think you've done a fantastic job with the ROOT! site, I personally don't think that can be stressed enough. As well as your technical prowess on offer here is too good an opportunity to waste. Let's get this happening!

Through www.paypal.com
You'll need to sign up if you don't have an account.

It's a fairly straight forward site to use.

from one computer dickhead to another.....dont feel bad...we have other talents im sure. i have just sent today another $20 to skip to put through paypal for me...i hope he doesnt mind. if you ask nicely he might do the same for you....my problem with computers is trust...they lose things...and i dont really want to put lifes administration details out there....personal emotional angst on the other hand is free for all in chickenmania....hopefully it may deplete my stocks....
