The logo on the front of the new shirt is the same as whats on the new poster. Its also visible in the ROOT! hamper. Click the sig for both. Oh, and you can forget me typing out the ramblomatic essay on the back. That you have to pay for.

Awesome. Like I said, it better be for sale on the night.
Is the new song (Get Up) on youtube or anything yet?
Oh well, I guess flying from interstate is necessary to answer these questions :)

Make sure you end up at the right Retreat Hotel skip ;)

I'm assuming the Brunwick one...right?

anyone know how much the cover charge is at the retreat gig?
Gohst- 04-04-2008
Last time at the same place it was $4. Nothing has been said about a cost for this particular gig, though.

cheers gohst.....i asked about swapping monday morning milking for saturday morning (my weekend off next week) so i could drive back monday am but its not looking good. who knows what next week will bring anyway? they play 7.30, any idea till when? just incase we're driving back sunday night.......we'll have to flip a coin to see who gets to be the designated drinker!

I imagine they'll probably play for an hour.
I just realised I spelt Brunswick wrong before. *oops*
Worked out that we're staying with friends who live in west Brunswick....walking distance away :)

All sorted and ready to roll. 1.5 days of work left, on a plane to Melbourne at 6am Saturday (I'll still be toasty from Friday night), off to a video game exhibition on Saturday and a birthday party in the evening.
I'll hopefully have enough left in me for the gig...
If you spy a short unshaven South Aussie, come and say hi. Who's going by the way?
evaleucien- 04-09-2008
howdy, this big, fat ball of hot air is severly deflated....big day at work yesterday, helped some friends move house straight after, came home very late to devastating news. alas she still spins....thought maybe 50 50 chance of gig being cancelled due to bereavement.....but who knows. we are coming down sat. cooking home grown lamb roast at thomastown. planned to go into gig sunday but is anyone up for meeting sometime, say 5pm somewhere...maybe park in brunswick on sunday for a reflective ponder of our dearly recently departed friend? bit of portable music, maybe a toast....open to suggestions.

I'll be at a pub around the corner (don't know the name) with Geoff from the Facebook group sinking a few. I'll be getting there at 6pm, might even have a bevvy or two with the band if they're there.
I was tempted to wear a TISM shirt to make myself obvious, but I won't be doing that now.
I'll have a blue bag (don't call it a man bag ladies!)...come along and say hi. Although if you do go to the 'park' (is it close?) I may come and say hi there.

this could be interesting...2 hicks from denison and a dude from adelaide trying to find a park near the retreat in brunswick........hmmmm...didnt have a particular park in mind just the general sentiment. perhaps someone more local could suggest somewhere close? i usually wear a hat with flowers and my friend wears a black hat.
Gohst- 04-10-2008
I don't know if I'll be able to go.
The likelihood would increase if I could get a lift to atleast North Melbourne train station. Or anything really on the Craigieburn line.
P.S. I don't live in Craigieburn.
evaleucien- 04-10-2008
we'll be coming from thomastown if thats any help, happy to divert a bit if it could help gohst....but we still need a park!

I'm going to Bar Zooka at about 5 (284 Sydney Road) then the Retreat (280) about 6. I hope I don't get too pissed before the gig, but 2 for 1 vouchers at Bar Zooka might put that sensible idea to rest...
