TISM on Rage - Saturday morning and night. Thanks to a post by Richard Miles on the Craplist.
COUNTDOWN REVOLUTION December 12th, 1989
Features Tania Lacey's "Mega-Boner" heavy metal advice, a proper Metal
report, TISM interviewed in the studio, a Bon Jovi feature and Nick Barker
star profile
Studio Performance:
THIS IS SERIOUS MUM - I'll 'Ave Ya
et cetera. It starts at 12.59am, according to the playlist.
It looks like there's some good stuff on tomorrow night (Underworld, Gurge, FNM, Mark of Cain etc)...
Countdown episodes are hosted by MADNESS, Nigel Planer as NEIL from THE YOUNG ONES and DAVE MASON, featuring mighty miming from Madness, Australian Crawl, Do Re Mi and many more.
The WARUMPI BAND support MIDNIGHT OIL at RMIT in 1987 - the full Oils set has never been shown before, and they're at the peak of their powers, after the Species Deceases EP.
RECOVERY visits the Livid Festival in 1996, with live clips and interviews from ASH, THE MARK OF CAIN, SILVERCHAIR, GARBAGE, WEEZER and REGURGITATOR - watch out for Ben Lee explaining to Ash how their songs are great because they're the audio equivalent of Party Of Five.
TISM feature on Countdown Revolution, and we have individual snippets of FAITH NO MORE, the CRAMPS, PWEI, PIL and the JUNGLE BROTHERS miming hilariously on the same show - check out the teenage rap-and-drum duo introducing the J Beez!
Churned out from THE FACTORY are a visit to a Melbourne youth club and performances from UNDERWORLD (who we then take some later looks at) and CROWDED HOUSE, premiering unreleased songs in acoustic style.
GTK and FLASHEZ take us to Randwick in 1971 with PINK FLOYD, the Art Gallery of NSW in 1973 with GILBERT & GEORGE, a scathing LOU REED press conference and concert in 1974 (being broadcast in colour for the first time ever!), a LED ZEPPELIN press conference in 1972 with Germaine Greer asking Robert Plant about his nob, and Daryl Braithwaite warns us about the scourge of the CASSETTE TAPE in 1976, and how it led to MUSIC PIRACY. And more besides!
All this plus other RECOVERY performances, a BIG DAY OUT special, and other retro clips.
And, if anyone reads this before Saturday morning:
9:30am
BEN LEE - Live on Recovery Shirtless (Modular)
SWOOP - Live on Recovery Do That To Me (One More Time) (Mushroom)
TISM - Live On Recovery Thunderbirds Are Coming Out (Shock)
THE FAUVES - Live on Recovery Dogs Are The Best People (Polydor)
UNDERWORLD Underneath The Radar (Warner)
Good chance to grab an HD copy.

Gohst- 01-26-2008
Things I noticed, The Club 1988
Humphrey can play mean drums - must've learned before
Humphrey's voice has aged well
TISM do this every week
The very poor edit during the long auction
The whole gig (if broadcast) would have included The Art-Income Dialect

mp4 file, use Quicktime or VLC to view it.
640x480, good audio and video quality, but unfortunately a big black border got put in when I encoded it. I'm not going to bother re-encoding it to be full frame at the moment, maybe later.
BruisesBruisesBruises- 01-26-2008
nice one, downloading it now.
Thrillhou53- 01-27-2008
Thanks for uploading that skip! The quality was great.
Wasn't their a TISM appearance on Rage a few days before this one? Was there anything good on it?
skip- 01-27-2008
I haven't edited or encoded the one from last week. Will do tonight.
