My father saw them back in 1978, when they were new.

Ah the Radiators - 16 years old and hearing them for the first time on a school trip to Fraser Island. The EP with Comin' Home, 17, Summer Holiday and Fess' Song were on constant repeat. Saw em in early 90s and yeah they weren't young men then.

:tism: Yep. That's around about the time I did some gigs with 'em. They were a great live band. I remember the publican who hired them for the second gig bitching about the amount he had to spend on their Rider. He brought the drinks backstage and said " If I'm gonna spend this much on piss, We're gonna share it." We did. THey were nice guys, but getting a bit old. Promoting their "turn of the Centure" album. I stole several sets of Skid's drumsticks.LOL :tism:

Cheers but not the song I'm looking for The chorus goes: " 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 I won't be a number! Won't be a number!"

HolyJoeSmith- 08-10-2007

I don't think I know that one. more information? Track title? Album?

Anonnymoose- 08-11-2007

It was from before they even had any albums, me dad got it at a gig when they were new. On the A-side it has Comin' Home And the B-side has Numbers I could get you the song if you like, to see if you'd recognize it

That'd be delightful.

Numbers was on the album "Feel the Heat" side 2 track one IIRC. I haven't got the vinyl anymore and the song has become a ague memory to me now.

howdy, long time listener, first time forumer...i too remember the radiators, and have an album or ep with fess song, gimme head etc will have to dig up the dinosaur. scary thing is it was a favourite amongst many yobs i encountered whilst holidaying with my brother in the navy at jervis bay....nothing like drunk bogans singing "gimme head baby...all night long" to put you off felatio for a decade...either that or spurn one to get their teeth sharpened....tee hee.evaleucien
