I'm sure on whom I spoke to now, Spoke to another guy at the rehearsal studios but he doesn't work the nights TASM rehearse but said that they turn up in balaclavas. I wanna know more.

Three members names are known: Jerry Hattrick, Hugo Tobuggery, Angie Climax. Link has been posted to Jerry's myspace before. Here's Hugo's: http://www.myspace.com/tasmhugo BTW, Hugo Tobuggery is probably the best stage name I've ever heard. I've had a little contact with them (no more than you're average IT / Internet geek detective could've). The email discussions have been positive. I love the enthusiasm and obvious reverence for the band (though one might suggest that anyone who's a fan of TISM is probably a c&*t ;) ). I do however struggle with accepting the extra (accidental?) emphasis on capitals and use of apostrophes and commas. Never mind using the word where instead of were. But that's just the school teacher in me. Good effing on them. If I'm in Melbourne sometime when they're playing, I'd be more than pleased to rock up and heckle them. It has to be said at this point that myspace is the worst abomination of a website ever. Any muso in their right mind would just use myspace as a jumping point to a real webspace to showcase their wares. As a wannabe web guru, I lose a bunch of brain cells every time I go to a bands' myspace.

spose youve got a point eggy...im just going on what been written here at the forum, which i suppose, could be guff...im supposing theres some truth in the fact theyre going to have a benefit gig for tokens family like what was suggested. you see if thet dont....and just rort the tism name and ideal....it will be very hard to imitate anything with broken limbs...maybe an old bent tree? im under the impression this is condoned by the band, otherwise they would not release their material. one other thing needs to be remembered, tism fans are a very discerning bunch, i hope they know their stuff....cause if theyre crap theyll be pissing in the wind....theyre only practising if no ones there! regardless, i hope to check it out for myself...hopefully for a laugh...speaking of laughter....and news on a real tism gig?????????????????????

It has to be said at this point that myspace is the worst abomination of a website ever. Any muso in their right mind would just use myspace as a jumping point to a real webspace to showcase their wares. As a wannabe web guru, I lose a bunch of brain cells every time I go to a bands' myspace. True. But the best thing is when someone "pimps" their myspace. They get so proud that it looks like everyone elses, but has a crap flashing/sparkly icon in the background. im under the impression this is condoned by the band, otherwise they would not release their material. I was under the impression that its pretty fair game to play any song by anyone live, but you run into trouble when you try recording it.

I'm a bit iffy about the whole thing, but I will probably be in town on the 25th so if I can find a way home, I'll check it out. Could be interesting. But really, the attitude is just as much as the music for me when it comes to TISM. And I'm not doubting these guys' intentions, but really... TISM is TISM. Watching a bunch of peoplep retending to be TISM doesn't have the same resonance to me. Also, personally... the names aren't doing it for me either. :S

Agreed. As fun as it might be, a cover or tribute band is just that. It's potentially more fun watching what ex TISM members would do next. Oh...hang on.... ;)

rontism- 07-03-2008

Hugo looks like the fill in eugene used at the rrr laundry radio gig, he wore glasses to

Get drunk enough and cover bands can be above adequate. It's takes a brave/stupid lot to do TISM knowing that TISM fans shall make their opinions heard. The Gun n Roses cover band are pretty tops. There's a Kiss cover band playing at Wrestlerock on the 25th too. There's also Tool cover band playing at the Corner soon.

Mobiesque- 07-03-2008

There's also Tool cover band playing at the Corner soon. That always works well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YMy909SYFLU

Can any of you tell me where you're getting this information from, besides directly from TASM members? I hope they practice like hell and get it right or the audience will give them it

http://myspace.com/thatsalsoseriousmum http://myspace.com/tasmhugo Funnily enough, last time I looked, they weren't myspace friends anymore. Disharmony already? Band has broken up before they started? Haha.

Gohst- 07-09-2008

Band has broken up before they started? How TISM of them.

That's what I thought :D

evaleucien- 07-09-2008

wouldnt be an easy street to mow....so much history to cram into a short gig. i dont envy them....or their task at hand, but will reserve my opinion till the fat lady sings.....so to speak. are you still interested in selling best off skip? plan on taking the printer out of the box tommorrow...if i scan something...i have to put it in a file? then how do i get the file to become a link?

It’s always sad to see a band break up due to creative differences...
