I put the lyrics up on The ROOT! Compendium. Check it out. Also, I messed around with the code and structure of the site so please let me know if you spot any oddities.

Great new song, they're starting to get into their own groove...almost TISM like in part. However, they've removed their other songs (Shazza & Michelle and the medley). Does anyone have them as MP3s or the like that they could send me or host? (and before anyone asks, given the amount I've spent on TISM CDs/DVDs/tshirts in the last 18 months, of course I'm going to buy the Root CD).

Shazza and Michelle was put back up yesterday. Introducing ROOT! is still gone (and I doubt it will be back) but hey, they don't really need to introduce themselves any more, do they?

Does anyone else think that Shazz & Michelle sounds different? I think when they put it back up, they put up a final version. Either that, or it sounds totally different on a laptop as opposed to a pc.

You know, I think you might be right. At first I just thought the bass was louder, but I put that down to hearing it off the site instead of off my PC as I usually do. But then, I think there's more drums in a few parts as well. There might be another layer of vocals in the chorus and the good lookin' and free part I think might be faster, if not then differently instrumented, also I think the outro might have had the same treatment. Let me check. Yep, they're different. I picked up ten differences to the music and two to the track itself. I'll chuck them up on the ROOT! Compendium later in the day. Thanks for that. PM me if you want to be thanked on the site by any specific name.

Oh yes. It's quite different. The drums have been completely re-recorded for one... More vocal back-ups in the chorus. ...and more use of the samples. Did anyone get a download? I think they were available still when 'Tex' was uploaded.

Introducing ROOT! and Shazza and Michelle were both taken down when I Wish I Was Tex Perkins went up. Then it was... the day after, I think... when the new Shazza and Michelle went up. So there was a gap. But I've got both versions :wink:
